![]() A few seconds later the app closed no error, no warning, nothing to say why it didn't load. Clicked on Play, the splash screen displayed, synced to my Xbox profile and then displaying 'Launching.'. The move finished and it was finally midnight. I then moved it to the L: drive as I was unable to play it at that time as it wasn't midnight here in the UK. ![]() In the end I tried installing this 75 GB game to the C: drive and, lo and behold, the game downloaded. I tried changing it to L: but when I go into Settings that app tells me that the install location is unavailable in orange and will not let me change anything at all. I checked the Xbox app and it had the default install location as C: which only has 120 GB free on my system because this partition is reserved only for Windows and non-gaming apps not games. I tried to download this game from the Xbox app last night to my L : drive but it kept throwing up error 0x80070005. It was the same on previous my 10 year old i7-4770K PC with Windows 10 and it is exactly the same on my completely brand-new 3 month old i5-13600KF Windows 11 system. It is the worse Microsoft app I have ever used. The problem is that I have constant issues with this app from games refusing to install (error 0x80070005) to the app breaking previously working games with an update. When it works it is fantastic, allowing me to sharing save files between the versions depending on whether I am sat in front of my monitor (PC) or 4K TV (Xbox). I have GamePass Ultimate so I can play games on both my PC and Xbox Series X. What a broken piece of crap the Xbox app is.
